
Boys Bowling
The Norwalk boys bowling team fell to Oskaloosa 2770-2412 on Saturday at Air Lanes in Des Moines. The Warriors were led by Blake Halsted, who posted a 383 two-game series. Norwalk bowled a game of 189 during one of the five baker games, but could not gain any ground as Oskaloosa finished with games of 193, 196, and 197.
Girls Bowling
The Norwalk girls bowling team came up short against Oskaloosa, 2226-1682. They were led by Baylee Baldwin, who shot a 349 two-game series, with games of 171 and 178. Next up for Norwalk bowling is a match against Pella at Cardinal Lanes in Newton on Monday at 2 p.m.
Boys Wrestling
The Norwalk boys wrestling team hosted the Tom McLaughlin Dual Tournament Saturday, going 3-2 overall. They defeated Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson 48-25, Marion 65-18, and Cedar Rapids Washington 65-14, while falling to Pleasant Valley 55-23 and Cedar Rapids Kennedy 49-26. The Norwalk boys will next compete at the MRC Triangular at Council Bluffs Lincoln on Thursday, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Girls Wrestling
The Norwalk girls wrestling team competed in a 28-team field at the Ogden Girls Wrestling Invitational and placed 20th. Norwalk’s afternoon was highlighted by a third-place finish by freshman Hannah Schmitz, and two eighth-place finishes by Margaret Evans and Mya Wojtowicz. The Norwalk girls will next compete at the Waukee Northwest Invite on Saturday at 10 a.m.
