
The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams along with the girls wrestling team will be in action tonight.
The Trojan boys and girls basketball teams will host Earlham in a West Central Conference varsity doubleheader. The Trojan girls are 6-4 on the season and are coming off a 57-29 win over Interstate 35 Friday night. The girls team will now look to continue momentum in conference play as they now take on a 7-3 Cardinals team who lost to Des Moines Christian in their last contest. The Trojan girls have been led in scoring this year by freshman Liv Klootwyk who is averaging 12.7 points per game.
The Trojan boys currently sit at 5-4 on the season and are coming off a loss to Interstate 35 on Friday. Star junior Braylon Bingham has been out the last two games due to illness but is expected back this week. The Earlham boys are 8-3 overall and they lost to Des Moines Christian in their last contest. The Trojan boys are led in scoring by Bingham who averages 23.7 points per game. Tonight’s girls game starts at 6:15 pm with the boys game to follow.
The Pleasantville girls wrestling team will compete at a quad hosted by Interstate 35 which will also feature Panorama and West Central Valley. The Trojan girls wrestling team is coming off a 16th place finish at Cedar Falls on Saturday. Tonight’s quad in Truro starts at 5:30 pm.
