The Indianola City Council met in a work session Monday. The council heard a presentation from HR Green, a company that was hired by the city to inspect the roads in Indianola. Indianola Mayor Steve Richardson says they have a few different options to consider in the spring of this year.

“We’ve had some complaints about the various conditions, and rightfully so some of our streets are in poor condition. What HR Green did was do a really deep dive into that street analysis. It came back and said essentially that you got three options. You can do nothing and that would be the one you don’t have the money to put into that. The other option would be to start taking  a look at those streets we can still save if that’s the way you want to put it. We can do some remediation, whether it’s an asphalt overlay or some type of small reconstruction. The third option is full reconstruction.”
