A Kellogg man arrested last year for allegedly breaking into a local farm building has entered a guilty plea to a reduced charge. Jasper County court documents say witnesses saw twenty-two-year-old Gabriel Storm Wearmouth use a metal bar to forcibly enter the building on Blair Street around 1 a.m. on January 26th of last year. A chainsaw and hoist were reported stolen, and several cabinets in the building were damaged. Wearmouth was originally charged with 3rd degree burglary, a class D felony, and 3rd degree criminal mischief, an aggravated misdemeanor. He’s pleaded guilty to an aggravated misdemeanor charge of 3rd degree attempted burglary. A sentencing hearing is pending. In the meantime, Wearmouth was released on a $7,000 bond.
