The Knoxville School Board approved the 2026-2027 school calendar at their meeting Monday night.

School will start for students on Monday, August 24th and the last day of school will be Wednesday, May 26th. Spring break will be the week of March 15th. The district is also moving their school registration event back two weeks and it will now be held on Monday, August 17th so it is closer to the start of school. Superintendent Cassi Pearson says the schedule is structured in a way that students and staff will have monthly days off.

“Every month next school year we will have a long weekend, at least a three day weekend for students and staff. We hope that helps families schedule appointments maybe so kids don’t have to miss school and it will give staff that same ability as well.”
