The Pella City Council will review bids for a contract to reconstruct the alley next to the Pella Community Center at their meeting Tuesday. The project includes reconstruction of the north-south alley from Union to Liberty Streets along the east side of the building, and will be finished with a brick surface. It is estimated to cost $370,792 and will start the week after Tulip Time, with a low bid coming in at $276,090. Pending Pella City Council approval of the overall renovation, the road reconstruction will be done in conjunction with the start of Pella Community Center updates. The Pella City Council meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
