Kwik Star President and CEO Scott Zietlow is featured on Today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.

The Knoxville Kwik Star opened for business on January 8th and held their ribbon cutting and open house on Wednesday with Zietlow in attendance. The new store features hot food, grocery items, produce, fresh bakery items and more, along with 20 spots for fueling and a car wash. After the ribbon cutting, Zietlow told KNIA/KRLS that they carry a variety of products, but that a big difference for their company is supplying their own products.

“We carry national brands for sure but we have many of our own brands and with all the production that we do that makes a huge difference for us being able to have control of our own delivery system so that value chain we create that vertical integration is very significant and very important and most can’t do that or they have a third party delivery or they can’t deliver on a daily basis or a nearly basis and that makes a big difference.”

Also at the ribbon cutting, Kwik Star donated $1,000 to both the Knoxville Fire Department and Knoxville Police Department.
