After scoring a career-high 31 points and leading Simpson to two wins last week, Cam Henderson was named the American Rivers Conference player of the week. Henderson’s week began with a lights-out shooting performance against the Dutch, carving Central up for a career-high 31 points. He followed it up with another standout night, going for 24 points on the road against Dubuque.

Over the two games, Henderson went 20-for-29 (68.9 percent) from the field, along with six 3-pointers and 9-for-12 at the line. The sophomore guard collected seven assists, three rebounds, and three steals. The award marks the first of the season for Henderson, and the second of his career.

With wins over Central at home, and Dubuque on the road, the Storm improved to 8-8 on the season, and 5-2 in conference action, placing Simpson third in the standings. Simpson is set to take on Wartburg and Loras on the road this week
