The Indianola City Council met in a regular session Monday. The board accepted a community development block grant giving the city of Indianola roughly $650,000. Indianola City Manager Jake Meshke says that money will go to the facades of downtown businesses.
“The city and local matches will be over a one million dollar investment into the facades and into some of our businesses along the downtown square. It’s a great program for the city and really exciting to see that investment into our community.”
The council expects to begin this project later this year.
