The Pella Christian basketball teams begin the second run through Little Hawkeye Conference play tonight, hosting Oskaloosa on Eagle Lane for Homecoming.
In the opening game, the Eagle girls are looking to erase a two-game losing streak, after falling to Class 4A #4 Dallas Center-Grimes and 5A #12 Indianola last week. The Indians girls squad is also looking to get back in the win column, having lost all five of their games since returning from Christmas break. In their first meeting on December 5th, the Pella Christian girls dominated Oskaloosa in a 57-22 victory.
In the nightcap, the Eagle boys are hoping to build on the momentum of an 80-37 victory at Fairfield on Tuesday night. The Class 3A #10 Oskaloosa boys, competing in their third contest in four days, are 1-1 on the week with a win over Keokuk and a loss to Mount Pleasant. The first matchup between the Pella Christian and Oskaloosa boys came down to the wire, with the Indians pulling out a 53-50 victory in overtime.
Coverage of Pella Christian’s Homecoming basketball games tonight can be found on 92.1 KRLS and the Pella Christian YouTube channel, beginning with pregame around 5:45 pm.
