The Indianola Public Library is one of many sites across the state of Iowa hosting a Seed Swap and Giveaway on Saturday, January 31st. The hours are 12 pm-2pm and every attendee can choose up to five free packets of seed. Children 12 and under can pick two free packets of their very own as well. Youth Services Librarian Janice Comer says there will be plenty for people to learn while at the event.
“That’s with Nine Square Feet. We have a ton of seeds and a ton of experts. They can answer your questions and point you in the right direction. You can get some free seeds that way and in order to use those, we also have native plants and pollinators with a local gardner.”
