The Knoxville Basketball Squads will end a busy week with their 3rd road trip this week. Tonight the Panthers venture south to Chariton as the boys will try to finish off a 2-1 week and stay unblemished in the South Central Conference. The Panthers have rolled through the first nine conference games including a 45 point victory over the Chargers back on December 12th. The girls will face a stern test tonight in trying to improve. Coach Tracy Wilkins tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Chariton will press and his team needs to be ready for that and many other things the Chargers will throw at them.
Wilkins: “We have to be able to look at how we played against them the first time and how we’re going to play this time. They’ll press us, so we have to be able to offensively figure out how to play against a team that presses us.”
Knoxville held Davis County to 47 points on Tuesday, which was the lowest points for an opponent. Live coverage on 95.3 KNIA has been moved up to 4:45 due to the cold weather with the girls top off at 5:00.
