The Knoxville Girls Wrestling Squad hosted their first ever stand alone dual on Thursday getting a win over Martensdale-St. Mary’s 66-12 highlighted was that the two coaches of the opposing teams were father and daughter. Doug Hatch is the head coach at Knoxville while daughter Faith is the head coach for the Blue Devils. The dual itself had just three contested matches all won by Knoxville in pins as Serenity Turner, Molly Finnegan and Mariah Ripperger all took wins. Turner recently achieved 100 career pins and was honored for that feat. She tells KNIA/KRLS Sports it was a great accomplishment.

Turner: “Pretty significant thing, a lot of girls celebrate their 100 pins, but we didn’t realize I had gotten to 100 until the other day so we celebrated 113 pins.”
