
The Norwalk girls wrestling team defeated Indianola 52-24 on Thursday night in a Little Hawkeye Conference dual at Indianola.
The Warriors won five out of seven contested matches, including pins by Mya Wojtowicz at 120 pounds, Lucca Severino at 130, Maddie Carroll 135 and Mimi Dautovic 140. McKenzie Foster added a major decision at 125.
The individual highlight of the night belonged to Indianola junior Siera Becker, who earned her 100th career victory with a pin at 110 pounds. Becker’s career record is now an impressive 100 wins and just four losses. Nora Ohnemus also won by fall for the Indians at 100 pounds, staying undefeated on the season.

The Norwalk girls improved their dual record to 10-7 overall and 3-2 in the Little Hawkeye. They will compete in Saturday’s Colfax-Mingo Tournament at 10:00 a.m. Indianola also returns to action on Saturday for the Interstate 35 Rich Gray Invitational at 9:30.
