Jasper County residents needing assistance paying their winter heating bills can apply for that help in Newton this coming Tuesday, January 27th. Impact Community Action Partnership will be holding a Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program Pop-Up event at the Newton Public Library that day, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Appointments are available from 9 a.m. until noon, with walk-in applications will be accepted from 1 to 3 p.m. Documents required for the application process include social security cards for all household members, income documentation for all household members 18 years old and above, and the most recent heat and electric bills.
