
The City of Knoxville has released their by the numbers statistics for 2025.
The city releases statistics annually from the previous calendar year, highlighting important numbers in several different departments. Some notable numbers released for 2025 include a community valuation growth of 7.8%, recreation center admission increased by 12%, library checkouts increased by 13%, and certificates of occupancy issued increased by 16%. Some other numbers include $43.6 Million in property valuation growth, 11,767 calls for police department service, 1,394 EMS calls, 841 street maintenance repairs made, $238,000 invested in downtown municipal facade projects, and $25 million in private investment projects added to the community.
City Manager Heather Ussery says the stats are fun for city leadership to reflect on after each year.
“It’s just been something to be able to look back on. Each department pulls some important stats that they feel is important for the community to see in what they are doing annually in their departments. I think it helps us from a staff standpoint to see where we are growing and things that are happening in each department to be able to understand what the needs are for each department moving forward and where the community is utilizing those services.”
