The Knoxville Boys Wrestling Squad placed 18th at the Rich Gray Invitational at I-35 on Saturday while the Panthers Bowling Squads fell to Norwalk. Knoxville had just one wrestler on the podium on Saturday and that was Regan Roberts at 285 pounds. Roberts was the 2nd seed in his class and defeated Gage Hommer of I-35 in the quarterfinals by pin in 1:22, then beat Fransisco Honts of Wilton 4-2 in the semifinals before falling to Kane Mahler-Moreno of Woodward-Granger in the finals by fall. The bowlers ventured to Norwalk on Saturday and the girls fell 1967-1642. Nicole Schultz had a high game with a 138 and a high series with a 257. The boys also lost to the Warriors 2640-2207. Troy Binns shot a high game of 204 and a high series of 386. The wrestlers will head to Carlisle for a dual on Thursday while the girls bowlers will have the conference meet in Newton on Monday and the boys will have their conference on Tuesday.
