Knoxville will embark on a normal week by hosting Centerville. The girls seem to be improving and took another step in that direction on Friday in their loss to Chariton. Coach Tracy Wilkins tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they are looking forward to seeing the conference teams again to find out how much they have progressed.

Wilkins: “We’re excited about our opponents coming in, and we’re doing things so much better the only thing is we need to be healthy.”

The boys, while not able to clinch the conference, can take a stranglehold on the conference as the Panthers are a game up on the Big Reds with a win in their pockets. Knoxville blew out Centerville on December 16th 82-44 holding star player Malachi Rice to seven below his average. Rice still is the state’s leading scorer regardless of class at 31.8 points per game. Live coverage is on 95.3 KNIA with the pregame at 6:15.
