The Norwalk girls bowling team competed in the Two Rivers Conference Tournament at Cardinal Lanes in Newton on Monday and finished in fifth place. The Warriors finished with a Baker total of 1922, 105 pins behind fourth-place Sigourney-Keota.

Norwalk was led in singles by freshman Baylee Baldwin, who knocked down 448 total pins in three games. She came into the day ranked fourth in the tournament’s field in total pins. Following her in total singles scoring was freshman Molly Olson, who had 440 pins. Baldwin and Olson were the only two Warriors to surpass 400 total pins in singles. Olson also had the team’s high game, grabbing 185 pins in her second game of the day.

Baldwin, Olson, and sophomore Eva Smith each earned all-conference honorable mentions for varsity play.

The Norwalk girls bowling team will next compete in the Class 2A Region 2 State Qualifying Meet hosted by Ballard at Perfect Games in Ames on Monday. Competition will begin at 10 a.m.
