The Warren County Board of Supervisors received some exciting news at Tuesday’s work session. The board was informed that the county had received a $541,000 grant for a nearly mile and a half long section of the bike path trail north of Martensdale. Warren County Board of Supervisors Chair, Brian Arnold said it was a project that needed to be done for some time now.
“That is a stretch of trail that has needed some attention for a long time, probably all the way between Martensdale and Cumming. Our conservation department did a great job. They went after some additional alternative funding besides property tax dollars and were awarded a grant. They’re going to start working on that trail. We are hopeful the project is completed by the beginning of the Fall season.”
