The 2026 Jasper County Fair Queen will be crowned on Saturday, June 13th, when the annual Queen contest is held in the Newton Community Theatre at the Newton YMCA. Applications for the contest can be picked up at the Jasper County Extension Office in Newton, or emailed to the contestant, starting April 1st. The application deadline is May 13th, which is the same day all contestants and at least one of their parents must attend a mandatory queen candidates meeting at the Extension Office. All Jasper County Fair Queen contestants must be a Jasper County resident or active in a Jasper County club or school, and be between the ages of 16 and 20 by the start of the 2026 Iowa State Fair.

This year’s Jasper County Fair will be held July 17-23 at the fairgrounds in Colfax.
