A $10,000 Iowa Tourism Marketing Grant from the Iowa Economic Development Authority is going to financially support a marketing campaign to attract out-of-state residents to Newton. Newton Community Marketing Manager Danielle Rogers says the grant will supplement the “Why Newton” campaign, an advertising effort that will occur this March through May, to promote Newton as a place to visit, explore, and consider for relocation. It will highlight the community’s affordability, quality of life, cultural experiences, and outdoor amenities, aligning with the Iowa Tourism Office’s “Give It Time” messaging.

According to Rogers, the campaign will target audiences in surrounding Midwest states through connected TV, streaming audio, and targeted email marketing. She says the city will match the grant with $2,500 to cover creative development, media placement, and campaign management.
