Knoxville Hospital and Clinics CEO Kevin Kincaid discusses hospital priorities and updates for 2026 on today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.

Kincaid discusses the hospital’s plans to focus on improving the radiology department along with the operating room this year, along with the many improvements the hospital has made since 2019. The hospital has seen extensive renovation and remodel in the last several years from the completion of the Don and Margaret Long Infusion Center, the Weiler Specialty Clinics, and the Emergency Department, but CEO Kevin Kincaid says there is still work to be done.

The hospital was constructed in 1980 and according to Kincaid, there are only a few spots left in the building that are original to 1980, including the radiology department. Kincaid tells KNIA/KRLS that with patient privacy being much more prevalent in medicine today, updating the current radiology space is a priority for the hospital this year. Kincaid says the hospital continues to strive for the goal of being able to provide every possible service to patients in the local community.

“I really feel fortunate that I have a team here and a group of providers that work right beside me to carry out this vision to provide everything we can locally that makes sense in a high quality manner. Nobody wants to hear that I didn’t have to drive very far but the services were substandard, nobody wants that. If you’re going to provide something you have to provide it as well as anyone does it.”
