The Newton boys wrestling team had two contested wins in a 47-30 dual loss to North Mahaska in New Sharon on Thursday. Kent Montgomery won by fall at 126 pounds, and Coleby Revell took his match by fall at 285 pounds. The Cardinals also received points from three forfeits. 

The next competition for the Newton boys wrestling team is the Little Hawkeye Conference Meet on Saturday. It will be held at Indianola High School beginning at 10 a.m.
