
The Pleasantville boys wrestling team went 2-1 at a quad hosted by Lynnville-Sully as the boys and girls basketball teams dropped their respective contests at home on Thursday.
The Trojan wrestling team defeated East Union 36-30 and Lynnville-Sully 31-30 and fell to Panorama 42-30. Blake Rowson and Paul Gasparovich went 3-0 on the night as Rowson set the school record for career wins with 157 surpassing Chaz Clark who previously held the record. Jax Bingham, Adrian Flesher, Lane Clark, and Nathaniel Oliver all went 2-1 at the quad. Complete results can be found here. The Pleasantville boys wrestling team will be back in action on Saturday at the Nevada Boys Wrestling Tournament.
The Trojan basketball teams took on the Hawks at home in a non-conference varsity doubleheader. The boys dropped their contest to the undefeated Hawks 77-41. The Pleasantville boys were led in scoring by Drake Elliott who had 21 points. The Pleasantville boys fall to 7-7 on the season. The girls team dropped their contest to another undefeated squad 56-44. The Trojan girls were led in scoring by Taylor Perkins who had ten points and Harper McGraw and Ryleigh Hardman who both had nine. The Trojan girls fall to 6-9 overall. The Pleasantville basketball teams will be back in action tonight on the road at Woodward-Granger.
