Two Knoxville Girls Wrestlers have advanced to the State Meet in Coralville next week as Serenity Turner and Mariah Ripperger have qualified for the State Meet. Turner finished as runner-up in the 105 pound weight class. Turner was the #1 seed and received a double bye into the semifinals where she beat Riley Gash of Carlisle by fall in 3:10. In the 1st place match she lost to Cassidy McAllister of Raccoon River-Northwest 13-10 which sent her to the wrestle back for 2nd place where she won by criteria over Gash of Carlisle to qualify for state. Ripperger was the 2nd seed at 235 pounds and received a double bye into the semifinals where she pinned Adrian Thornton of Burlington in 3:21 and then pinned Delilah Subsin of Ottumwa in 5:12 to qualify as a regional champion.
