The Knoxville City Council approved the final plans for the new public safety/city hall building at their meeting Monday. 

The council held a public hearing and approved the plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the project and also approved a resolution to accept bids, and award the contract. 11 total contracts have now been approved for the project. Also at the meeting there was an oath of office administered to Lieutenant Will Munley and the council held a public hearing and approved the plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the 2026 Street Improvements Project along with accepting bids and awarding a contract. 

The meeting closed with budget presentations for administration, planning and zoning, hotel/motel, and local option sales tax.
