
The Indianola basketball teams head to Newton tonight for a rescheduled Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheader. Both Indian teams are on two-game losing skids after falling to Norwalk Friday night and ADM Monday night. The Indianola girls previously beat Newton 46-29 this season on December 5th. In that game, Lauren Olson led the way for the Indians with 16 points, including three three-pointers. Indianola has taken 19 in a row from Newton and enter the game at 11-6 and 4-3 in the LHC, while Newton is 8-8 and 2-7 in the conference.
On the boys side, Indianola enters the game 7-7 and 4-4 in the LHC. The Indians beat Newton 73-58 in December and were led by 26 George Blake points. Despite winning the last meeting between the schools, Indianola has dropped four of the last five to Newton. The Cardinals come into the matchup 6-9 overall and 1-7 in the LHC.
