A pair of Pella girls wrestlers find themselves on the challenging side of the Class 2A brackets today, but that isn’t stopping the duo from pushing themselves as far as they can go.

Kenadi Montgomery and Emma Smith are each making their first appearances at XTREAM Arena, with the 135-pound #14 seed taking on #3 in the state and 145 pounder Smith coming in as the #16 seed, taking on #1 Lizzy Wolf of Benton.

Both Pella athletes understand the opening matches will be challenge, but that’s been the case this season, and they intend to use the week as a learning experience to build themselves as competitors, hopefully to go with a few upsets along the way.
