Students from Knoxville and Pleasantville High Schools will compete at the Iowa High School Speech Association State Large Group Contest on Saturday. The groups competing qualified for state at their respective district contests on January 24th. Knoxville will have a musical theater group competing this Saturday and Pleasantville’s state entries include two for musical theater, readers theater, short film, ensemble acting, and three groups for group improv. Knoxville and Pleasantville will both compete at the southeast region site, which will be hosted by Clear Creek-Amana High School.
