Both Melcher-Dallas Basketball Squads fell to Cardinal on Thursday night on senior night for the Saints. The girls struggled with the Comets’ physical play and poor shooting to lose 44-28. Madisyn DeJong scored eight points to lead the Saints. The boys were in a back and forth struggle only to see Cardinal pull away late in a 53-41 loss to the Comets. Reece Chiabotta kept the Saints in the game with a team high 18 points. The Saints will be back at it tonight with the rescheduled Hall of Fame Induction night against Mormon Trail.
