The new leader of recreation services in Pella has been working since the turn of the new year to develop programming in the community.

The City of Pella announced that Spencer Winzenried has accepted the position of Recreation Director. He’s excited with the opportunities the community provides, especially with the indoor recreation facility, which is under construction until 2027.

The City of Pella is also developing a Parks & Recreation Plan, and Winzenried encourages public input in the process. A visioning workshop will be held on Thursday, February 12th from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at the Bos Landen Conference Center.
