The Warren County speech teams are set to compete at their respective state competition this weekend. The Indianola speech team will have four events at state, with TV Newscast, Short Film, Group Improv and Ensemble Acting. Norwalk qualified for short film, musical theatre, radio broadcasting, ensemble acting, and group improv. Southeast Warren qualified in the Readers Theater and Radio News categories. All three teams will compete Saturday at Valley High School.

Carlisle has qualified for the state competition in a few different categories as well. The Wildcats will have representation in the Improv, Short Film, TV News, and two entries in the Musical Theater category. Carlisle will compete Sunday at Waukee High School.
