Indianola Mayor Steve Richardson hosted his monthly “Coffee with the Mayor” meeting at Uncommon Ground Coffee House Wednesday. The city’s budget was a popular topic among the mayor and participants in attendance. Richardson says it is a thought out process, but believes the tweaks necessary will be minimal. 

“It is very methodical and we are still in the midst of that. Staff has done a great job of looking where they can cut and what they need to do to make a balanced budget. We will see some changes in things that we do, but for the most part I do not think most residents will notice.”

The city’s budget will continue to be an ongoing discussion at upcoming city council meetings.
