Two new housing projects in Knoxville that are currently under construction in the Veterans District will bring nearly 100 new units of housing to the community.

Both projects are next to each other on “Block A” of the Veterans District which is south of Pleasant Street. One complex is called “The Residences at Veterans Park” which will include approximately 50 units of senior living. The project directly to the west on the same parcel of land is a 36 unit market rate rental apartment building by Hugerich Holdings called “Red Rock Station”. Both projects are currently framed up and fully enclosed. City of Knoxville Planning and Zoning Administrator Nathan Parch says the Red Rock Station project sits farther back as there will also be row town houses built in front.

“This year they will be adding a couple additional buildings in front. There will be two building and each of which will have five units in them and they will be five row houses in a row that will be located up closer to the sidewalk kind of like the large building just to the east of them and then once those are built the larger building will be behind them and the parking area will be between.”

Both projects are expected to be complete in 2026.
