The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad will enter its final four games of the regular season on a very busy stretch of games that each will give the Panthers a challenge and get them ready for the upcoming substate. Monday starts with Little Hawkeye Conference member Oskaloosa. The Panthers are currently 0-3 against LHC teams losing to Pella, Pella Christian and Newton. The Indians come in at 11-7 but have three significant wins this year, Dallas Center-Grimes and two over Pella. Panthers Coach Joel Keady tells KNIA/KRLS Sports after Oskaloosa’s loss to Newton on Friday they will likely have a chip on its shoulder and his team will need to be ready to defend home court.

Keady: “All of those teams are really good and it’ll be interesting to see how that shakes out. They’re going to be ready for revenge and we’re going to be ready on home floor to bring it.”

Last year, the Panthers survived an upset bid by Oskaloosa 66-64. The girls meanwhile will play an Indians team that has also struggled for wins standing at 3-15, but were competitive with Pella last week. Coach Tracy Wilkins is asking his girls to play loose and give maximum effort as the season starts to wind down. Live coverage of Monday’s double header can be heard on 95.3 KNIA starting at 6:15.
