While a wet June and snow in December slowed the project overall, progress continues to be made at the site of a new indoor recreation facility in Pella.

Recreation Director Spencer Winzenried says as of last week, the timeline was nearly two months behind schedule due to the weather factors bookending the start of the project last summer and the end of the calendar year with snow and cold in December.

However, he remains confident that the facility is on target for substantial completion by next summer, and in the meantime, Winzenried has been working on building programming for the new space.
