The Pella and Pella Christian speech teams combined to earn 17 division 1 ratings at the State Large Group competition at Clear Creek Amana High School on Saturday.
Pella had 11 of their 13 performances earn division 1 ratings at the competition, with the marks coming in the TV Newscasting, Musical Theatre, Readers Theatre, Group Improv, Ensemble Acting, One Act, and Short Film categories. Six of Pella Christian’s nine performances earned division one ratings, with the categories receiving those marks coming in the One Act, Reader’s Theatre, Ensemble Acting, Musical Theatre, and Group Improv categories.
