
Four Warren County schools participated in their respective state speech competitions over the weekend. The Indianola, Norwalk and Southeast Warren teams competed Saturday at Valley High School, while Carlisle performed at Waukee Sunday.
Indianola had qualifiers in two events, with Short Film receiving an overall one rating and Group Improv earning an overall two rating. Norwalk had five division one ratings and three two ratings. The Warriors earned straight one ratings in short film, musical theatre, radio news broadcasting, and group improv.
Southeast Warren received an overall one rating in Radio News and a straight one rating in Readers Theater. Carlisle received one ratings in musical theatre and improv.
