
The Marion County Board of Supervisors approved a 28E project agreement with the City of Knoxville for their Area Pavement Rehabilitation Project at their meeting on Tuesday. The board recently approved $1 Million in local option sales tax funds for the project which will include a $360,000 investment from the City of Knoxville and be for overlay of three areas of road in the Knoxville area. Also at the meeting, the board held a public hearing and approved a zoning map ordinance, approved a joint agreement with the City of Pella for an amendment to the Lely urban renewal plan, approved a courthouse breakroom project, filed a compensation board FY27 recommendation, and heard the treasurer’s semi-annual report. The meeting closed with the board authorizing bids and setting a public hearing date for the Junction 92 engineer’s office project .
