Work has already started to transition leadership in the Pella Community School District.

Superintendent Greg Ebeling says he’s already been in contact with Dr. Kyle Koeppen to begin working toward July 1st and the official change. Ebeling says Koeppen will still need to finish work at Vinton-Shellsburg in the meantime, and that several incremental steps will take place until the end of the current academic calendar.

The Pella School Board made a contract offer to Koeppen after a months-long search for the next superintendent following Ebeling’s 2024 retirement announcement.
