Simpson College claimed 15 honors, including three first-place awards at the Iowa College Media Association Conference in Des Moines on February 5th. Students and recent alumni were recognized for their excellence in writing, design, photography, audio and video.

Competition included schools from the American Rivers Conference, Grinnell, Grand View, Drake and the University of Northern Iowa.

Simpson’s first-place honorees included Abby Hintz ’25 for “Best Feature Photo,” Clare Veren ’25 for “Best Sports Reporting” and the staff award for “Best Media Website.”
