The Indianola basketball teams continue their homestand against Pella Christian tonight to complete the week against both Pella schools. The Indians swept the doubleheader at Pella Christian on January 16th. 

The girls beat Pella Christian 42-29 last month fueled by 12 points from Julia McGraw all from the three-point line and ten from Eden Whitson. The Indians come into the game falling 52-49 to Pella on Tuesday. Madison Grover led the way for Indianola with 14 points followed by 12 from Whitson and 11 from McGraw. Pella Christian has had the injury bug hit them this season and have played most of the season shorthanded. The Eagles fell to Dallas Center-Grimes 71-13 and are led by Senior Rachel Kacmarynski who averages 12.6 points per game. Pella Christian comes into the game 9-11 and 3-8 in the LHC while Indianola is 6-5 and 12-8 in the conference. The Indians have taken the last three from the Eagles and 12 of the last 13. 

On the boys side, both teams are looking to build back some confidence trending into the postseason. Indianola had a tremendous second half effort in the win at Pella Christian last month, as they outscored the Eagles 42-29 in the half in a 71-49 victory. The Indians come into the game losing to Pella Tuesday 66-62, while Pella Christian fell to Dallas Center-Grimes 57-43. The Eagles are led by Senior Gilbert Flagel who ranks second in scoring with an average of 21 points a game. The Indians come into the game at 8-9 overall and 5-6 in the LHC, while Pella Christian is 12-9 overall and 2-9 in the LHC.
