The Knoxville Boys and Girls Basketball Squad will play their final scheduled home games of the season tonight when Bondurant-Farrar plays a visit. The boys are coming off two big wins this week with victories over Oskaloosa and PCM. The Panthers are 2-0 this week and look to complete the sweep with a win over a Bluejay squad that has struggled to find its footing in the Raccoon River Conference. While not posting as many wins this season as in past years, Knoxville Junior Guard Lincoln Norris says the record is not going to matter and he and his teammates will focus on the defensive effort, which has been outstanding in the last few games.
Norris: “Defensive is something that Joel stresses a lot. If I can get a stop, and my teammates are playing tough defense then we all can play tough defense and it’s a domino effect.”
While the Panthers are averaging 86.7 points per game in the last four outings, the defense has only given up 45.7 points per game. The girls will also face a Bondurant-Farrar squad that has been inconsistent this season. The Bluejays come in a 9-12 and have lost their last three games. Live coverage tonight is on 95.3 KNIA with coverage starting at 6:00.
