The Knoxville Boys basketball Squad was impressive once again in an 89-53 win over Bondurant-Farrar while the girls were never able to get going in a 48-3 loss to the Bluejays in games heard live on 95.3 KNIA. Bondurant-Farrar matched Knoxville point for point in the first 4:00, but a 14-0 run by the Panthers allowed them to take control, hitting their first nine three point shots. Knoxville would build the lead to 26 at halftime and cruise from there. Coach Joel Keady told KNIA/KRLS Sports he was overall pleased with the effort.

Keady: “We just had to put in a game played that worked against some of the things they do well. Their consistency in a 32:00 game is really important and the guys locked into it and performed their roles well.”

Lincoln Norris scored 27 points to lead all scorers while Jack Reed scored 15 Drake Larson had 13, Alex Kelley scored 12 points and Cael Cook had ten. The girls were stifled at every turn in a game that Knoxville was unable to get the offense uncorked. A three from Myriam Moreno was the only scoring for the Panthers. The boys are now 18-3 on the season and will play at Grinnell on Monday to close out the regular season while the girls fall to 0-21 and will travel to Gilbert next Wednesday in the class 4A regional opener.
