The Marion County Democrats will hold a President’s Day soup luncheon Sunday.

The event will be from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and is a way to meet and hear from different political candidates in Iowa. The luncheon will include homemade soups, sides, and desserts. Candidates in attendance include US Senate candidates Nathan Sage, Josh Turek, and Bob Krause, US House candidate Travis Terrell, Governor candidates Julie Stauch and a representative for Rob Sand, local Iowa statehouse candidates Sinikka Waugh, Spencer Waugh, and Zach Meacham. There will also be a presentation by Pella Community Food Shelf Director Melissa Zula as she discusses food insecurity in Marion County.
