Pella Cinemas is being thrust into the future. From new seats to new concession items, the town’s cinematic experience is getting an upgrade.

Since mid-January, Pella Cinemas has been under renovation. The changes include new reclining seats, updated carpet and railings, and expanded concession options, which are now mostly locally sourced.

Scott Van Den Berg is the booker for Pella Cinemas, and is proud of the ongoing renovations.

“We are absolutely going to be cutting edge. I proudly hold this new facility up against some of the nicer facilities in Des Moines,” Van Den Berg says.

Pella Cinemas grand opening is tentatively scheduled for February 20th.
