The Indianola boys wrestling team is sending 13 wrestlers to the state tournament with a district tournament victory in Fort Dodge Saturday. The Indians won the tournament by 40.5 points with a toal score of 233 points.

The Indians had four district champions with Cain Crossan at 113lbs, Stoney Wood at 144lbs, Elijah Blewitt at 150lbs and Mac Crossan at 165lbs. Indianola had four runner ups  as well with Chandler Brown at 106lbs, Rylan Hilton at 157lbs, Zach O’Meara at 215lbs, and Aiden Curtis at 285lbs. Lastly, the Indians had five third place finishes with Sawyer Nelson at 120lbs, Ayden Swedberg at 132lbs, Grady Nelson at 138lbs, Eli Cox at 175lbs, and Brady Christensen at 190lbs.

The State Wrestling Tournament begins Wednesday and ends on Saturday at the Caseys Center in Des Moines.
