The Knoxville City Council will continue their annual budget presentations at their meeting Monday.

The presentations started last month and typically run through mid-March. The city breaks it up over several meetings, to give the council time to process each department’s budget, rather than receiving all the presentations in one night. The presentations break down the annual fiscal year budget for each department, provide the council and public with information regarding spending, and highlight any potential changes or projects coming up that will be funded. On Monday, the council will hear from the library, airport, parks and recreation, and cemetery.

Also at the meeting, the council will consider a 28E agreement with Marion County for the Knoxville Area Pavement Rehabilitation Project, look to approve the framework for the 2026 municipal facade grant program, and consider a resolution for establishing mechanical permit fees.

Monday’s Knoxville City Council meeting will start at 6:15 pm at City Hall.
