The Southeast Warren/Melcher-Dallas Wrestling Squad sent four wrestlers to the State Meet next week including one Melcher-Dallas athlete. Hudson Cox put a cherry on top of his great season with a runner-up finish at 106 pounds. Cox, the top seed, pinned his opponent in the semifinals, but fell to Josh Nelson of Nodaway Valley by a major decision 15-4. Cox then was forced to wrestle back, beating Weston Adams of Mount Ayr via technical fall 20-5. As a team the Warhawks/Saints placed fourth.
